Data deletion
Updated May 6, 2026

Request deletion of data connected to your Fluxx account.

Fluxx gives users a direct way to request full or partial deletion of personal data associated with their account. This page explains what to send, how verification works, how Export Data can help, and what information may need to be retained for legal or safety reasons.

Partial deletion is available

Users may request deletion of specific data only.

For a partial deletion request, the user should clearly describe what must be permanently deleted from the account, such as photos, videos, documents, locations, messages, posts, conversations, or any other specific data.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of data connected to a Fluxx account, email deletedata@fluxx.social from the same email address used for the Fluxx account. This helps Fluxx confirm that the request is coming from the account owner and prevents unauthorized deletion requests.

Include the email address connected to the Fluxx account.
Include the Fluxx username and display name, if available.
State clearly whether you want full account deletion or partial deletion of specific data.
Do not send passwords, full payment card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive documents.

Full or partial deletion

A user can ask Fluxx to delete all eligible data connected to the account, or only part of the data. For partial deletion, the request must explain exactly what the user wants permanently deleted so the team can understand and verify the scope of the request.

Photos, videos, documents, uploaded files, or other media that should be permanently deleted.
Location information, location history, or location-related records connected to the account.
Messages, conversations, comments, posts, or other content the user wants removed.
Dates, usernames, post links, file names, conversation details, or any other context that identifies the data.
If the request is too broad or unclear, Fluxx may ask for more detail before processing it.

Review your data first

Before asking for deletion, users can open the Export Data area inside the Fluxx app to see what data is associated with their account. This can help the user understand the account information, profile details, settings, content records, and other account-related data that may be included in the deletion request.

Open Fluxx and go to the account/settings area.
Use Export Data to review the information Fluxx makes available about the account.
After reviewing the export, send the deletion request to deletedata@fluxx.social if you want the data removed.

What Fluxx deletes

When a verified deletion request is approved, Fluxx deletes or anonymizes personal data connected to the account where deletion is technically and legally possible. The exact data involved can depend on the account activity and features used.

Account identifiers such as account email, username, profile details, and related account settings.
Profile information, preferences, and account-related records connected to the user experience.
User-generated content and media associated with the account where deletion is available and not restricted by legal, safety, or integrity obligations.
Operational records that are no longer needed for security, compliance, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

If you lost access to the account email

If the user no longer has access to the email address used to create the Fluxx account, they may still contact deletedata@fluxx.social. In that case, Fluxx may ask for reasonable proof that the account belongs to the requester before processing deletion.

Explain that you no longer have access to the original account email.
Provide the username, display name, approximate account details, and any non-sensitive evidence that helps prove ownership.
Fluxx may ask follow-up questions or additional verification details before taking action.
Requests that cannot be reasonably verified may be delayed or refused to protect the account owner.

Data that may need to be retained

Some limited information may be retained when required for legal compliance, platform security, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, abuse investigations, enforcement history, accounting, or dispute resolution. When retention is necessary, Fluxx limits it to the purpose that requires it.

Safety, abuse, fraud, or security records may be retained when needed to protect users or the platform.
Payment, billing, tax, store, or accounting records may be retained where legally required.
Deletion does not require Fluxx to remove information that must be kept to comply with law or defend legitimate rights.

Confirmation and next steps

Fluxx reviews deletion requests through the dedicated data deletion channel. If more information is needed, Fluxx may reply to the requester before processing the request. Once the request is verified and handled, Fluxx may confirm completion or explain any limited retention that remains necessary.

Use a clear subject line such as Fluxx data deletion request.
Keep access to your email inbox so Fluxx can ask for verification if needed.
For urgent safety issues, use the Safety page or safety@fluxx.social instead of the data deletion channel.
Data deletion commitments

Account protection

Fluxx verifies deletion requests so one person cannot delete another user's account data without authorization.

Clear control

Users can review available account data through Export Data and then request full or partial deletion through the dedicated email channel.

Limited retention

When data must be kept for legal, safety, security, fraud, or dispute reasons, Fluxx limits that retention to the required purpose.

Data deletion requests are reviewed by SC BLUE HORIZON CAPITAL SRL, the operator of Fluxx. Sending a request does not require Fluxx to delete information that must be retained for legal compliance, security, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or other legitimate obligations.
Next move

Send a data deletion request.

Email deletedata@fluxx.social from the email address used for the Fluxx account and include the account email, username, request type, and the exact data that should be deleted if the request is partial.
